As updated in the Echo on 26th March, guests must be paid for in advance.  When making your member guest bookings, please ensure you have selected the correct number of holes you wish to play. When you select 9 holes - the nine hole rate of €15 will be available to select. 

Similarly, when you select 18 holes - the guest rate of €25 will be available to select. 

You will then be brought to a payment page to enter card details, securing full prepayment and your booking will be confirmed. 

students and cadets will still be able to book guests online - the student guest rate will be available only for members that fall under the relevant categories. 

What’s Changing?

  • Members will be able to book both 9-hole and 18-hole rounds through BRS for their guests.
  • Guest green fees will be paid in advance at the time of booking.
  • All bookings and payments will be managed directly through the BRS system.

Why Are We Introducing This?
This aims to:

  • Make the booking process clearer.
  • Ensure guest green fees are collected consistently.
  • Reduce follow-up and administration for staff and volunteers; and
  • Provide a transparent system that is easy to understand and fair to all members.

Cancellations & Refunds - How It Will Work
We know clarity around refunds is important. The following approach will apply during the pilot:

Cancelling a Booking
If a booking (or a guest) is cancelled more than 24 hours before the tee time, the guest green fee will be fully refunded.
If a booking (or guest) is cancelled within 24 hours of the tee time, the green fee will normally not be refundable.

Course Closures or Club-Initiated Changes
If the Club closes the course or cancels bookings due to:
Weather conditions,
Safety concerns, or
Operational reasons,
then:
All affected bookings will receive a full refund, regardless of timing.
